The very pretty fish boat-esque ‘U & I’ is preparing for re-fit at the school. She is a very comfortable little motor cruiser with full accommodations below. The U & I was donated to the SBSS earlier this year and will represent the school this summer at all the Wooden Boat Events within range.

We have constructed a cradle for her to weather the tides in the Shipyards wet slip where she will undergo some systems work, a serious cosmetic update and a few other assorted tasks to bring her up to finish. The use of the wet slip has been graciously donated by the Silva Bay Shipyard – one of the schools sponsors.

The school is also planning to unleash the upcoming Ships Cabinetry class below decks to work on various cabinetry projects and upgrades.

Come on down to the school and take a look!
